Second hand amp for number one son

I am helping the sprog to set up a system based round some nice monitors, 87db sensitivity. The manufacturer recommends about 100 watts. He wants to listen to music and help him monitor his own music, drum and base, whatever that is. So a headphone output would be useful.

Any suggestions for a decent second hand integrated about £300 to £800? I tend to use lower powered Class A amps and do'nt have much experience of higher powered Class A/B amps. Thanks

If you want to push the boat out, Superfi have a Marantz Pearl Lite for £680.

Other than that, a big rotel off eBay would probably for the bill for a fair but less money.

Regards

A second hand exposure 3010 would fit the bill nicely here if you can find one, very nice integrated with balls.

Any of the bigger Nads, Rotels, MFs, Yamahas or Marantz will be more than enough I'd imagine.

Say 300 quid s/h max. Than you've got some cash left for when he breaks it :)

Just to show I'm not totally biased, I have it in good authority that the new Yamahas (notably A-S500 & 700) are really rather good and available with many ££'s off new and therefore well within budget. :)
