Schiit Sol Turntable

I think schiit will come out with their own speed control. It was far and away the biggest lacking in the design: the power supply. They can kill two birds with one stone there.

But that being said look at this this way:

799 usf for basic table
300 for speed control
115 for matt
400 for a soundsmith moving iron cart
200 for support

1815 total. I think for a total solution at that money you'd be hard pressed to find something that beats it.

I personally would pay the extra for a Rega P8
 
no irons in the fire at all, but from my position of complete technical incompetence, have difficulty seeing how a t/table like this (i.e. specialist / enthusiast) could get to this point in its development before a fundamental like accurate(ish) speed is sorted out?
isn't that a bit odd? or have I misunderstood.
 
It's not a bad point. That being said few companies have the iterative festidiousness, and commitment to value and offering continuous value, that schiit do.

Again, for the money, I think this set up would be tough to beat. Fremer doesn't go easy on screw ups. He likes the table for a r
