1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Just had a look at your links, cheers.

Might have to call 'high end cables' to arrange a listen.

I must say that the forum reads and the reviews certainly made me want to consider these in my study. Other candidates are Gauder Arcona 40, Amphion Argon 3. All three are less than 1600£ new.
But I will need to clear some space first...

Yes,i have them,MB 3.5 and i listen them for 3 months now and previously have 2.5 for 15 days,,,they are excellent, big, tight, and sophisticated sound.Need very long time to burn in ,mine is not yet. Before them i have Dali Ikon 6,,but Scansonic is different world, very recommended, but carefully with wires, i use anticables now, before them wireworld, but anticables is cheap but excellent cables.

How did you rate the 2.5 before deciding on the 3.5?

Excellent, sound is unbelievable big, detailed, spacious, and for that lets say ,,small,, floorstander, but i didnt listen them enough because they really need +300 hours and more to burn in and i bought mb 3.5 because he gave me big discount,we are good friends. My other friend who listen electronic music mostly was seriously thrilled by they sound,,,and he own a club with serious sound system,,,here is link for you to read :)

Thanks for the link, this is the article that sparked my interest in the first place.

I really will have to travel to have a listen to a pair here in the UK as the last time I bought a pair of speakers on the back of a review (Spendor D7s) I thought they were overrated and had to sell them!

I have level 2 performance(bought them on discount for 120$ !!) i liked so much they sound better than wireworld equinox 7 and is cheaper 5 times,,,im thinking to buy level 3 reference, and have interconnects XLR level 3.1,,heard some tones for first times in very familiar songs,,very open and neutral sound.
