Rum

Currently drinking Woods 100 Navy Strength Rum. What a cracking Rum. 57% and very smooth. Bargain at the £22 mark.

I had contributed to that thread. Just seemed an eternity ago so thought I’d start a new one.

I find Woods a little harsh, despite its luscious aroma. I prefer Pussers Gunpowder, but it's roughly double the price of Woods.

Woods - too much toffee/mars-bar caramel taste for me.
Bermuda is pretty good; as, for my taste, is Lamb's Navy - neither remotely expensive, and both a good bit darker, literally, and in molasses-complex flavour. (My taste, may not be anyone elses!)

PS white 'rum' doesn't even qualify for use as a degreaser round here. hideous.

I love rum just as much as whisky. Cuban for the rum and Isley for the other nectar. Yummy.
Both neat.

Hi Martin,

I do enjoy Goslings Black Seal from Bermuda. Also got a bottle of their 151! Not a sipping Rum! Although your free to try it next time you’re up this way.

Also recommend searching out Alnwick Rum. Really well balanced. Almost like a mellow version of Woods.
