Royd eden speakers

Hi all ,some royd eden have come up for sale close to me .Anybody got experience with them ,cheers

Yes, they're absolutely brilliant, revealing speakers. They have to be used right against a wall or don't bother, though. They work best on open-frame type stands and are wonderfully fast. The bass doesn't go deep but is very fast and agile. A classic amp pairing would be a good integrated from the likes of Exposure, Naim, or Ion systems. Exposure or Naim amps would still be a good choice, as would something like a Heed or Rega.

Thanks for replying, I would indeed use them in a classic flat earth system. Its curiousity really I've never really heard many royds ,hes asking £130 for them apparently in really tidy condition

That’s a good price. My first system was a nait 2 and edens. They are a great speaker.

If I wasn’t using Shahinian speakers, I’d still be using Royds. So enjoyable and communicative.
