Saw him live at the Glee Club in B'ham last night.
Easily the greatest guitarist I have even seen play.
Hugely entertaining evening

Didn't realise he was touring. I have all his solo albums (ie post Aztec Camera). Whats the band like?

Saw him in Cardiff's Glee Club last Monday - agreed, superb.

To be honest the early Aztec Camera stuff he played outshone his more recent stuff. I do like Surf but, well, it's just a bit too mellow and I think he really excels with the more "belt them out" songs.

It's just Roddy and an acoustic guitar. No band. You would swear there is more than one guitar player though.

sham the London gig is sold out. Tunbridge wells is a bit far for one bloke with a guitar

The cd on sale at the gigs is very good too. In fact listening to it a couple of times has made me even more awestruck by his guitar skills.
Great idea to provide decent quality recordings to avoid the lucky dip of often shite quality bootlegs.
