Hi. Would someone be kind enough to measure the diameter of the end stub.

Measured with my my trusty imperial micrometer from my days as a machinist...now but a distant memory (sigh).

00.500", or spot on a half inch.

Snap, 500 thou. Good old days. Remember P.C.D.s as well along with back centres and Coventry die boxes.

Aye, I remember them well. Used to set up the Coventry die boxes and roller boxes for the Capstans, the latter could be a right PITA to keep within a tight tolerance.
