Rega Planar 3 / Elys 2 availability

Hi

I see the Elys 2 seems to be out of stock everywhere so there’s no package available with the Planar 3 at present. Anyone know when this might change? I know I could get one with an Exact but the deck will be used in our family room so risk of damage is quite high, so trying to balance cost/performance.

I know I could get AT cartridges etc but I’m specifically interested in the Rega option.

For family room a Planar 1 might be a better solution.?

Carbon or VM95 with advanced stylus tip could very well be better than Elys anyway, a cartridge which is not really missed (along with Bias) - no replacement stylus available makes them quite uninteresting tbh.
I doubt Elys will be back, Rega may create a OEM solution based on the Carbon/AT3600 or higher.?

There's more profit in making their coil editions.

We have a RP1 already, and I want to upgrade it to a 3 as it’s getting more use than expected (incl. me!).

Didn’t think about the carbon, maybe it could be a stop-gap indeed.
