I originally bought the Aria for my Rp6/Exact and now use it with my Rp10/Apheta 2 and have been extremely impressed and happy with its performance. Truth be told I’m not one to switch cartridges so having both MM and MC isn’t a plus for me- hence why I’d love to throw down for the Aura one day!
Good luck with your decision!
I read on the latest review of the Aura that Roy Gandy is working on a newer more cost effective MC stage which I suspect will be an upgrade to the Fono MC?
I heard the P6/Ania with the Fono MC last year. It is a great combo for sure (and did well with an RP10 too!) but I think the performance of the P6 deck justifies the Aria. Although the Phono was hard to fault at the price I noted a slight grain in the upper frequencies that reduced the retail and openness. There may have been other factors like setup or connecting cables, but I would try both phono amps
Tried the aria with rp10 and ania and found a little bright sounding think I read somewhere phono mc was designed for the ania in mind,
and ania was suited to apheta 2 and aphellion.
Try both and see what you think.
