I joined this forum some time ago chasing some ideas for a hifi rack, and ended up getting the rack, plus some new (to me) speakers and a (new to me) amp...
Amp and speakers are safely installed in my study, where, since I work from home, they get some pretty continual use.
Right now the sun is streaming through the windows. I've a rather good mug of coffee, some Pink Floyd playing far too loud, one of the cats has decided to sit on my work laptop so I can't get anything done on that front, so I'm just listening to what sounds like a live band playing in my room, not 3m away from me. The sound totally fills the room, I can hear every last detail, the rest of the world has disappeared, there is nothing but a nice toasted aroma of coffee and the music.
I am totally content.
If I hadn't stumbled across this site and the wonderful people who offloaded their old kit on me (kidding, I am very grateful to you!), I wouldn't be enjoying this Friday afternoon half as much as I am.
So thank you all.
