Pure hydrogen does not occur naturally. 95% of hydrogen is processed from fossil fuels and that process requires an energy investment with associated pollution. Even if the hydrogen is green hydrogen it would be a diversion of limited renewable energy resources away from other more useful applications. I am in no doubt that the whole exercise is a massive waste of valuable resources.
