  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Dexter is back! I hope they can exorcise the risible previous series ending.

In the meantime I have really enjoyed 'You' which is Dexter Lite in its own way.

Alice in Borderland on Netflix, three episodes in and thoroughly enjoying it.
A brutal Fantasy set in a deserted Tokyo in the vein of battle royale. Great.

I enjoyed that. Looking forward to the second series.

Me too. Loving the third series on iPlayer so far. Inspired use of a Steely Dan song in episode 2.

I found an Icelandic curiosity called Katla.
It has atmosphere and an unusual plot set in an active volcano location.
Unfortunately, on the service I use, the last 3 of 8 episodes do not have subtitles so I've been left in limbo on the explanation of the happenings.

@cj66 unusual indeed, I don't know what service you use but it did have Subtitles on Netflix

    @Darren L
The more recent remake (not seen) or the older one with Dustin Hoffman?

Recent remake with Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek, I don't think I've ever watched the 1973 film.

cj66 - I watched the whole of Katla (on Netflix). Doesn't get any less odd, doesn't really resolve. But enjoyable enough.

Disney + have an offer on at the mo for £1.99 till 14th Nov. The Beatles - Get Back is showing from the 25th. And Ridley Scott's - The Last Duel is on from early December. The book upon which it is based is currently .99p for the Kindle edition. Bargain.

Finished Series 3 of ‘What We Do in the Shadows’, a mockumentary about Vampire’s, all three series have been brilliant, so much so I’m starting over again on Series 1 straight away, just watched the pilot episode and it’s class right from the off.

(NB. Episodes are only 22-24 minutes long (all on BBC IPlayer now) so can bat* them out pretty quick).

Never seen Dexter but we've loved the 3 series of You.
Going to have to investigate, cheers:)

Correction re the length of the episodes, they can be as low as 19 minutes.

'Maid' on Netflix. Young mum tries to escape escalating abuse and build a new life for herself and her daughter. Brilliant drama that never descends into poverty porn or sentimentality.

Watched Finch on Apple+. Predictable, but we enjoyed it.

“Bat!” Brilliant series. I prefer it to the original film too, for what little that’s worth!

    “F*cking Guy!”

(First time I’ve watched a series, well, 3 of them, twice back to back, I’m picking up little things I missed first time round, I love it!).

Newly restored version of Olivier's Richard the third looks fantastic and it's original cut too.
