Recommendations for sub £300 Chromebook

We have an ageing Dell Chromebook that was £200 quite a few years ago and has been brilliant. It's getting a bit long in the tooth for Zoom and MS Teams now though and I'm looking at replacements.

Budget is up to £300. Won't be doing anything super taxing - Teams, Zoom, MS Office, Netflix, Iplayer etc.

At the moment wondering about this Acer or this Asus.

Apologies for the dull post!

Rock and Roll.....I'll help on your life on the edge post :)

So here we go, I have both Acer (a very old c720) and an Asus (can't remember which but it is a posh flippy one that has some disc space, was about £500)

Anyways, given a choice they look pretty similar specs, and from a user perspective I think the build quality of the Asus is better than the Acer.

One annoying thing they have done is removed all the ports (assumedly for our convenience, like apple do) - so you need a little usb doofah to give you HDMI out and some additional usb ports.

Anywyay, on build, Asus for me........love mine, other opinions are avilable.

Had a looker - this is mine https://www.asus.com/uk/Laptops/For-Home/Chromebook/ASUS-Chromebook-Flip-C302/

Unless you are particularly wanting ChromeOS, have you considered getting a decent ex business (i.e bulletproof) machine with much higher specs for the same money e.g.:

p.s. Both those you linked to can be had for £144 (s/h in grade A condition + 12 months warranty) on Ebay (use code SHOP4LESS at checkout):
