Hi guys
Looking for recommendations on a decent budget player for the man cave too go with my naim /62/140 combo
Don’t want too spend a load of cash as it only have light use as I mainly stream ,
Not had one for years ,
Thanks Pete

If considering second hand I use a Rotel 965bx or an Arcam CD 8se with my Naim amps.
They give my more expensive Naim player a run for its money. In fact I use them more in preference.

provided you are not looking for brand new some excellent classic players out there.

Arcam Alpha 5 was always a nice player

I also rate any of the Rega players

Rotel 955 I currently use is modified so not a fair comparison but said the 965BX is good combo with naim I found

I’d buy a very good used one, otherwise you’ll likely end up not using it, a Linn Karik or Genki would likely sound very decent with your setup (the Genki is a little less refined but less risky when it comes to parts availability)... Mike’s Sony is worth a look too.

I liked the Rotel RCD-965BX in my bedroom system so much I bought a second one for my main system. It replaced a Rega Apollo R which in turn had replaced an Exposure 3010S2, sounds like backward steps but my ears tell me different.

I have a spare Rotel RCD-965BX as I'm downsizing, which means I'm keeping my Sony X33ES.
No remote though but I can throw in a universal harmony. Not sure it'll work but you never know.

Whereabouts are you?

Morning guys
Big thanks for all your reply’s there’s a fair bit of choice there , as said it’s for my shed system I’ve got Qobuz but be nice to spin the odd disc now & again , now the colder nights are coming I spend time up there working on my motorbikes x4,
As for the player It doesn’t need too be nothing too spectacular , just rather consult the fishers than buy rubbish off eBay
