Rattle - Beethoven 3

just heard this on the radio and was very surprised: it's pretty,pretty, pretty good. the ending is almost at furtwängler levels of lyricism. the recording is with berlin philharmonic on EMI.

now, if he would just stop smiling and quit the steven pinker hair club.

It's the exact opposite of Rattle in every way (not to mention Furtwangler). I really like it. You'll hate it!
