[FS] Questyle CMA800i

Part of my system for the last 6 years or so and it has been excellent. I have changed recently to a Lindemann Source which partners up really well with my Lindemann power amp.

I have used the Questyle as a preamp/Dac and it really is a great piece of kit with a fantastic build. Apparently and according to reviews, it also has a great headphone amp (which I have never used). The preamp is analogue and compared favourably with many standalone preamps and the DAC uses the excellent Wolfson MW8741 chipset.

Ill let you do some research on it online but this one comes boxed, with remote and instructions. In terms of condition its an 8/10 with a couple of marks here and there (I use to use it occasionally on other system and take it in and out of the rack). I also have the optional see through acrylic top (all the internals are visible) as well as the standard steel case top.

For absolute transparency, whilst the remote control works as it should, I always found it cheap looking, and it wasnt particularly good from a distance without having to wave it about a bit.

Also it appears these units were designed in a way that the headphone amp and preamp worked simultaneously as there is no switching between the 2 which is somewhat strange? So in essence you have to disconnect the outputs to power amp if you want to just listen to headphones? (unless someone knows different). I always used it as a preamp/dac so was not an issue for me. Used as such, this really is a fab piece of kit with excellent build.

Yes it is silver. Never used it as a headphone amp… sorry can’t help there. However some reviews out there.
