Quality sofas?

I'd love to find someone like that, not sure where to start but you've given some clues!

Thinking about it we do know a good wood craftsman and a decent upholsterer.....

The difficult part, as you say, is finding one who is good and honest. Probably word-of-mouth is the best way. I found mine because a friend told me she and her parents had been using them for donkey's years.
 

I don't think so.. though it's possible they acquired the 'Englander' part of their name. Mrs Mull assures me the Englander we had was made in Derby. We bought it in around 1977. Slight second i.e. a single wrong dent in the fabric on the back. Was reduced from about £1500 to £400. Either price was a lot of money for a '3 piece' back then.
 
This is an old friend I've known for over 55 years. He's also a professional musician. I'm not sure whether he is still making furniture but will check. He's based in Nottm.
