It's interesting to see such black & white views. My current Planar 8 is sitting on a home brew wall shelf and it sounds good but I could also envisage it sounding as good on a dedicated stand or floor standing table. I have previously used dedicated wall stands from Target for my old LP12 and from Rega for my Planar 8 but they were ugly and didn't sound any better than my much more attractive home brew set up. I try to keep an open mind and experiment.
