Quad Z3 speakers

Has anyone heard these enough to offer an opinion? My interest is purely academic - I recently bought Quadral's CS8s that are a similar design & are gob-smackingly good with pretty amazing build quality to boot. Did see a very positive review in Hi Fi Choice, IIRC when in WHS.

If the Quad's ribbon tweeter is anything like as good as Quadral's - the Z series will be a welcome range of British speakers.

Indeed! Saw reference to that speaker on their site.

I've heard a couple of the new Z range and they are very good and excellent value.

Well I am NOT going to listen to them as they are by some company called QUAD, whoever they are, and chances are they might sound as good as my Tannoys which have a much better name and cost me a fortune.. so there..

Heard the baby S1 with a Yamaha AS-1100 amp and the sound was amazing for the money, source was a Naim CD player if l recall correctly.
