Ok looks like this is a non starter! Thanks for the heads up!I tried three to get one that worked properly, it was troubled by microphony problems and other manufacturing issues. In the end it was withdrawn from the market very swiftly and I suspect Quad decided it wasn't worth the effort to sort out vis a vie likely sales.
Cheers John, yes that's the one. There's an updated version too. Haven't heard much about it so guess it's fair to say it hasn't exactly set the world alight. Considering running something with valves into a pair of actives. I'll look at the QC24 as an option.
Hi. I’ve got the PA-one+ and I’ve had nothing but problems with it since purchasing about a year back. Every set of valves I put in becomes “rustling” noises after a short while. It also has a lot of background hum. Never silent on either high or low gain. There Is an even louder buzz through the headphones when the volume control is set against the zero stop But that loud buzz goes once the volume control is turned up a little. Just wondering whether that all sounds very familiar? I’m actually persevering with it at the moment and have it booked in to a valve amp specialist local to me to see if they can sort it out as it’s a very nice sounding amp without the buzz and hum.I tried three to get one that worked properly, it was troubled by microphony problems and other manufacturing issues.
