Price range for a Leak Stereo 20?

Mullardman

Moderately extreme...
I may be onto one. No idea of condition yet.
So any views on a fair price for say 'original and undamaged', 'original but tatty' , poorly repaired, poorly restored, etc..assuming it's working?

I’d say <£400 for an ugly DIY botch-up that needs stripping and redoing, especially if any additional chassis holes, damage to tag-board, critical parts missing or evidence of overheating, through to >£1.5k for a genuinely mint high-end restoration or close to NOS boxed example. Once you get to non-botched ones obviously chassis condition is critical as a respray is expensive, time-consuming, and won’t add any value compared to one that doesn’t need it.

The valve set is highly significant too, a strong/NOS-testing set of original Blackburn Mullards is worth well over £500 on its own, i.e. it impacts the overall amp value compared to one stuffed with say modern Sovteks or JJs.

Feel free to post pics of the amp in question and we'll try to give you a fair valuation.
