I just received my copy of Giant Steps. It is in fact this 2014 Europe release. It's no Tone Poet but it sounds good to me. In general, it's a quiet, flat pressing. My copy has a couple of seconds of noise on Spiral and Naima which I can live with. There's nothing especially extreme about the stereo mix as reported for the 2005 release linked to in post quoted above. It's just the usual jazz fare of sax and piano on the left and the bass and drums on the right. It's a bargain at £9.35 delivered.
