I'm not a regular in this section so excuse my ignorance as technology has passed me by since my days in the school darkroom processing Ilford B&W film! Currently on vacation in scenic North Wales with my wife and boys and a bit fed up carrying a bulky DSLR (Nikon D5000 with kit 18-55mm lens) and my old Sony miniDV camcorder everywhere. Can anyone recommend a single camera (preferably with a viewfinder) that's solid to hold, takes reasonable stills, can do full HD video (4K would be a plus) AND also with half decent stereo sound? The Nikon is a bit rubbish for any video recordings and still image sharpness is a bit "softer" than I would like. The Sony miniDV is not HD but sound quality is very decent. Budget is £600 ish.
