It's been an expensive week - her snout started to swell up on Sunday, with a runny nose and ragged breathing and obviously sore. Called our vet first thing on Monday to find they had no staff in. The girl there started phoning round their other branches to try and get us an appointment elsewhere. In the end the only available slot was in Waltham Abbey, so a 5 hour round trip on public transport. Turns out she has a split/broken tooth. Looks like she'll need it taken out under a general anaesthetic and given that she was 14 back in August that could be a bit risky. Thy did a blood test to see if she could tolerate the medication they were about to give, seems her liver and kidney function are excellent for her age. An anti -inflammatory injection and medication to take home and a bill for £250.
Today was a follow up at our branch - they've given her antibiotics as well and another £100 gone. Back in 2 weeks to see how she's doing - then likely an x-ray, the tooth out and scale and polish under anaesthetic to follow and a check to see if there might be any other underlying issue as well.

Ha ha ha, with the dressing gown and drawing I thought she was under eight

Her inner child is 8; so good guess :D

She's very much into using all the bloody brown paper thats stuffed into Amazon and other delivers and draws on it for wrapping the Christmas pressies haha... TBH it's lovely and goof for the soul; thought goes into it etc
