Piano Concerto in A minor, Op. 16

He only uses the composer's piano for the solo piano Lyric pieces/Sonata and not for the concerto as I understand it.

Leif Ove Andsnes did the same thing, so I already know how Grieg's piano sounds, at least in the venue used, with the engineering team used, and as a result of EMI's mixing and mastering crew.
 
In a thread devoted to Grieg's piano concerto it would have been helpful to put the composer's name in the thread title. I seem to recall having this discussion with you once before!

Yes, I thought we were talking about the vastly superior Schumann. Kudos to the op. Hearing the Grieg concerto once a year is slightly too often for my own taste, fine as it is.
