 This is not a comment on the photo it self , No HSE here , No Goggles , No ear defenders , No blade guard , Quick call the ambulance now :D

of course I have a sharper version of my photo too... I just used windows snipping tool to copy the RAW photo..

Firstly thank you all for your submissions. The idea with these open themes is to encourage participation and to allow people to express themselves in their own style. It's great to see such a diverse selection of images.

Secondly, this has been particularly tough to judge! I really liked @Mr Cat 's low key pet portrait and @ian123running 's tack sharp and well composed image of the Jay.

However, in the end it came down to a decision between two images for me: @Pete MB&D 's wonderfully minimalist and clean image of the water droplets and @John Barry 's fabulously creative and vibrant image taken in a car wash.

It was a VERY close call, but in the end I've decided to go with John's image. I love how he has managed to create something so beautiful out of something as mundane as a car wash!

Over to you for the next them John! (Please PM me to arrange your free print :) )

Amar - I did not envy you this one! Thanks for the feedback and for donating the prize. Well deserved John - you've posted some brilliant pics on the PAW thread recently too.

On the attack in Lake Panic. Fight went on for 40 minutes and this guy lost!

We handled a skull in Kruger recently - the teeth are even more vicious than they look - they grind top and bottom together to give them razor-sharp points and edges. Not bad for a herbivore.
