Well, the executions happened as an act of mercy. The fuselages, wings and tails were scrapped as soon as the RAF had no use for them.

It was a strange experience, seeing the Victor post-restoration. I was at Marham from 1982-1988, and never saw one in that condition, even after a major servicing!
