1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

First outing for the Z50. A grey overcast day with the odd slight brightness, like here. No muckin about yet. This is just out of box settings, medium JPEG with the 16-50 kit lens.

Whatever Nikon have done, they have certainly got more out of this sensor than I was expecting.

@PhilofCas Where's that bottom picture? It's on the tip of my tongue... Lakes somewhere?

You got it, It’s on the return leg of a Thirlmere walk, called Sticks Pass, very nice indeed.

I discovered a field absolutely stuffed with giant poppies this afternoon - many taller than me! A riot of joyous colour!

Ah yes I see it now. I spent most of last week looking at the other side of Skiddaw and Blencathra around Caldbeck. Lovely in the Lakes at the moment isn't it?

The River Devon is a small tributary of the Trent which joins at Newark. Whilst our eldest daughter was off rowing training, I took the opportunity for a wander. Whilst the Z7 is a stunningly capable tool, I'd still let it burn if it meant I could rescue my D700 from a fire.

Got here Monday, yes, as good as it gets. (Though some rain potential today :)).

Blencathra is in view from where we’re staying, looks imposing. We’ve not been for a number of years, it is so nice, one of my favourite places.

    mmm skyscraper i love you...

Home Manchester has taken over a development site near the main building as a temporary outdoor performance space. New tall buildings are all over central Manchester, they surround this space and make a stunning skyline. I went last night to see "A Midsummer Night's Dream", it's a lot of fun and Shakespeare might even recognise a few bits of it :)

Pictures from Lumix LX100mk2, b+w in camera.

No recent photos sadly. Work has been very busy and I've barely had time to process my photos, let alone take new ones :(

So here's one I've only just got round to processing from a wild camp with my son back at the start of June.
