  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

I've just seen it - wow! I really need to make it over when conditions are more favourable. Every time I have been there it has been, cloudy, wet and raining! :d

Definitely - it would be great to meet up if at all possible.

I know this is not great but a very nice bird and I like the pic a little more today than I did yesterday. I am now more forgiving of the branch - this is how this little guy was, flitting around feeding, within the foliage. Taken on New Year's Day.

Stapleford Woods - a new venue for me (although I pass near very regularly). Took the D700 out for a spin and had it re-confirmed why I just just love this old, noisy, heavy lump of a camera.

Nice to see some sun and colour - rather gloomy here, yes D700 are great well made cameras they feel good in your hands:) I tried a D3 for a wedding once it was fab to use like all pro Nikon cameras, but in the sun I preferred using the much lighter and slower Fuji S5 for the dynamic range and great skin tones, OOC jpegs were superb. Although I always shot RAW and jpeg - just in case......
