  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Very sad news. We only saw him live once, in 2002, when he supported John Mayall. Green was the best thing about the evening.

blossomchris I feel better than James Brown

I expect this to be placed elsewhere, but the back in the day, as the rumour goes, he was living in a tent in the mid/late 60's in one of the posh areas of Hemel Hempstead.

Terrible illness he suffered, incredible he bounced back.

    RIP

There is a report in The Guardian, which includes an inital statement from the family's solicitors who say Peter Green passed away peacefully in his sleep. https://www.theguardian.PeterGreen

"In a testament to his influence on the British blues movement, legendary guitarist BB King once said of Green: “He has the sweetest tone I ever heard; he was the only one who gave me the cold sweats.”"

He was headlining in a Parisian theatre when I saw him. Obviously still fragile, but with flashes of genius.

Right - my next play is that 1970 live set from the Boston Tea Party club, with the 8min + take of the Green Manalishi.
