PC User Account Control problem.

Hi
I'm trying to install a dvd game on my pc for the kids to play.
Install the disc click on disc drive, then it asks for the administrator password in the user account control box.

Tried the pc login password but computer says no.

Any ideas please ??

Is there an option to use another account, at the bottom of the box, if so you could change the user id to yours and use your password?

Sorry , still asks for admin password.

You could ask the administrator what the password is

Check the membership of your users. To do this press the Windows key and type 'compu' then right click on computer management and select run as administrator. Once it comes up select local users and then you can check each one by clicking on it and then check the membership. An admin will come up with Administrator and maybe also users/ssh.

Sorry again ,
Everything I try it asks for the admin password.
It is an old windows 8 home pc registered to my wife's login password but this not the admin password.

Who set the pc up originally?

Could it be just “admin”. Same thing happened to me once and that was the password
