PC Speakers - Anyone got or listened to B&W MMcs?

Having new hom eoffice finished at home and wan ta desk top solution. I already have Audioengine A2s (which are OK) in house plus some old HK Soundsticks, but wanted to raise the ante aesthetically, although without large boxes in nearfield (such as Dynaudio MC15 etc).

Thinking about pair of MMs with an additional Squeezebox Touch. I don't buy on looks alone, although these deffo float my boat.

Anyone heard them? I am not looking for seismic bass and dont want a sub for this system. Alternatives?

Cheers

Been down the same path: HK Soundsticks, then Audioengine A2s. The A2s are improved by a better power supply. Have auditioned dozens. Anything much bigger than the Audioengine A5 is just too much for near-field, in my experience. Getting them off the desk, on short stands, makes a big difference.

Because we specialise in a range of them, our advice is bound to be a bit partisan, but PM me if you'd like to borrow something specific to judge for yourself.

heard them at bristol show, very good for such a diminutive speaker , extremely compact and non fatiguing

Thanks for offer Item. I already have A5s and A2s, and am looking for something a little more sophisticated and geared for that nearline listening triangle. As you rightly say the A5s are a bit too bid for that.
