For sale is my Parasound P5 preamp in excellent condition.
Thia super versatile pre can handle a wide range of analog and digital inputs (including balanced) and includes the following features:
5 analog RCA inputs
1 balanced analog XLR input
Onboard Burr-Brown PCM1798 DAC with USB, Optical and Coax inputs
Phono input for MM & MC cartridges with 100 Ohm or 47k Ohm load
Home theater bypass input
Front panel Aux input
Balanced XLR and RCA left and right outputs
Analog Bass management with adjustable high and low pass crossovers
1 balanced XLR and 2 RCA subwoofer outputs
Defeatable bass & treble controls
Balance control
Headphone jack
Remote Alps Black volume control
Fully featured remote control
I will also include the much nicer backlit remote from the later Parasound P6. It controls all the same functions of the P5 remote but doesnt suffer from the sticky finish that the supplied remote develops with time.
There are some small blemishes to the top casework which I have shown in detail and which look much worse in the pictures and of course are not visible when racked. There is also a very small (< 1mm) paint chip on the fascia which is barely visible at all.
The amp contains all original packaging so I am happy to post this item.

I preferred this model to the later P6 finding the BB DAC more musical and the presentation more dynamic. I also much preferred the conventional volume control to the rather unsatisfying stepped attenuator of the later model.
