I do not know if many have attempted this route, but I did!
It was the end of March last year when I subscribed to the Olive One crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo.
My idea then was to have a player to replace my Squeezebox Touch, given that Logitech was stopping the support for it.
After a long and "patient" waiting, we are apparently getting there:

No serious manufacturer should ever release a news bulletin like this on April 1st

So why are Olive crowd-funding this? Were their other products such a fail that they couldn't finance it themselves?
