I agree with the above. I used to have the Rega Planar 3 ( thats what we are talking about? ) with the RB300 arm. I bought a Roksan Xerxes ( the original version with that strange psu - mine is still working). Both had the RB300 arm and similar cartridges. I kept the Rega for a time so I could compare them and it was night and day. The Rega sound was tiny and thin compared to the xerxes. Something like that nasty grey thin( solid core?) DNM speaker cable you used? to be able to get that sucked all the life from what you pumped through it
