Just found the dvd files of Nupen's documentary entitled "The Trout", the story of the 1969 Southbank performance of Schubert's Trout Quintet by:
Itzhak Perlman, violin
Pinchas Zukerman, viola
Jacqueline du Pres, cello
Zubin Mehta, double bass
Daniel Barenboim, piano
What an amazing roster of musicians. The sound and images are wonderful.
As an aside, in 2001 I consulted on technology and computers to a restricted number of clients. One of them was the violinist, Itzhak Perlman. Instead of money I was compensated in private concerts at his townhouse in Manhattan. While I was working on his computer, he would be working on his latest piece of music to be performed.
I shall cherish those moments. Being that close to him and his violin was indeed magical.
