The tranpsort in my Arcam Alpha 5+ makes a bit of whining noise for the first 10 minutes or so of a disc, as if caused by friction. Any ideas?
My prime suspect would be the large white plastic washer that seems to clamp the disc to the transport spindle thingy. It's rather loose and wobbly. It's separated from the black plastic support by two pieces of felt which look pretty old, so a little lubrication might be in order. What's safe to use? Vaseline? Pencil lead?
TIA
