niobium capacitors

Just had look at these, not much use to valve/tube aficionados as they are low voltage and surface mount. Apart from that they do look interesting.

yes, certainly not available in the valve friendly voltages, SMT makes them trickier, but not impossible to hand solder.
they look to be like a 'better' tantalum, without the failure worries,

as an aside, I've noticed it's becoming harder to easily source good commercial capacitors for Valve projects, most of the usual suspects RS/Farnell etc now have a very limited range of Electrolytic and film caps at higher voltages.
