Nelson Freire dies at 77

Very sad to hear that Nelson Freire, one of this century's greatest pianists, died at his home in Rio today. Listening to some of his wonderful Chopin and Brahms.

Sad news indeed. Really like his Schumann and Liszt. RIP

That’s awful. His Brahms concertos with Chailly/ Gewandhaus were beautiful recordings. RIP

Recommend me some of his solo recordings @PsB - I want to explore what he did. I’m very impressed by this concert
