A similar issue has come up (on the Naim forum) with regard to the "Classic" series black boxes, with the front panels developing a purplish tinge over time. IIRC something went wrong during the anodising process with some batches at the (Swiss ?) case manufacturer.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. I've check the Naim forum and the 282, NDX and XPS in system pics 2019 post surely are funky!

NAP180 is here for some time now.

Insides look OK







It's from year 2000 and sounds like it's in need of a service - muffled, rolled off and boring.
Surprisingly much more so than my NAP140 from 1990.

So probably off to Witch Hat it goes. Crossing the post-brexit borders, I hope WH got a hold of temporary import procedures and that the process won't cost extra.

Also hope that WH still offer first class service after the departure of @MJS

I'm still here in spirit, just not doing the servicing any more. My ex-colleague from Naim does all that now so it'll still get a proper service with a Naim-trained engineer.
WH have been on top of the Customs paperwork for some time so give Nic a call.
