Shoebox NAP90's had a single board and often went up in smoke (probably why I've never serviced one of these in recent years - there must be a graveyard of them somewhere).

90 is just a Nait without the preamp isn't it?

The flat wide 90 was a Nait 3 without the preamp. Or a Nait 3 was a 90 and NAC92 in the same box. The shoebox 90 was different again - a bit beefier than a Nait1/2 but not a 140 either.
