Howdy folks, can anyone help me here?

I have a snippit track in itunes from an old cd that has no metadata and I'd like to know what it is and who by - the lyrics go something like this:

This is the end,
give 'em tearful friend,
this is the end, my only friend, the end,
the verny labred plans the end (something like that?)
Love everything that stands the end,
no safety or surprise the end,
I'll never look in to your eyes... again

Sorry, but that reminded me of the many times I've tried to decipher lyrics only to end up with a string of nonsense words, which become embarassingly so once I've discovered the correct lyrics!
