  1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Here are a few that do it for me:

Pass Labs Aleph (beautiful in a brutalist kinda way):

Conrad Johnson (any with the knobs rather than the buttons):

    The older Luxman MQs:

The Dieter Rams products for Braun were special. I always loved NAD’s Monitor Series, too.

And for its interior, Exposure 28 dual mono : neat, simple, powerful, symmetrical, easy to work on :

i love mine so dearly. Something about a compact set-up is appealing to me. I like the old Quad 3s and Rega Brio similarly

Audiophiles clearly have questionable aesthetic tastes. I happen to share yours.

But have to admit, I prefer the Japanese version for aesthetics.

Funny how tastes differ isn’t it. Wouldn’t give that house room.

Me too! Maybe not beautiful (IMO), but simple, intuitive controls, and something different from all the black or silver. This is my stack:

Some strange suggestions here on what constitutes 'beautiful' and perhaps an explanation on why our hobby is mostly male orientated ...

At least I know that the beauty (money) is all on the inside of my Arcam

As did I. Glad I didn’t buy them at the time though (I was only a lowly apprentice so they were out of reach) as most sets up for sale a few years later looked fairly tatty. It seems they didn’t age that well.
