1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

What did you replace the speakers with, just out of interest? Reason I ask is because I had a similar set up myself! A NAF in to Audio Notes...

You wouldn’t want that little imp on the shelf jumping down to have a look at all those tubes.

I think he’s probably too busy guarding the book of bums.

I tend to hide electronics but if an amplifier was on display I would prefer the simplicity of something like this:

although the writing after the logo would be better gone. I would also prefer the logo to be on a plate on the back along with model number, serial number, contract details, etc... but I think that is perhaps asking a bit too much given the branding madness of today.

To be fair that's pretty subtle branding compared to the giant CNC'd logos on the faceplate and stylized into vents in the top covers. And at least there's not a bunch of ugly (IMO) cursive BS all over it like so many Marantz, Denon, Pioneer and others have.

Surely some mistake? How is this even remotely beautiful?!

I’ve always liked the look of Mark Levinson kit:

I quite fancy one of those and the matching CD player.

I can't decide whether I like it or not but I can see new Leak stuff fitting right into quite a lot of interiors.

I am genuinely sad I could only like this post once. Nicely observed.

That's a proper power amp. A man's power amp. Not these little girly class D things.

I like the looks of this one, but would have to get rid of the massive logo.

I saw this at the Bristol when it came out. Open case.

One of those products that certainly look better in hand than photos.

I did like it. Unusual but not kitsch as say Chord. More ... purposeful but quality.

Thanks. I knew it reminded me of something but all I could think of was my Spectrum 128k
