Has anyone made a nait 3 into a remote controlled version? If so, how do you go about it?

Sell the Nait 3 buy the Nait 3r would be the easyest way, or get the wife to turn it up.

I guess it would also be possible to by-pass the preamp section in the naim.

Try Dantimax.dk. They have kits for remote input selection and volume control. Designer Mikkel Simonsen is very helpful, drop him an email ([email protected]).

I'm with Pete here, after all the hassle and expense of upgrading the old unit the easiest and least expensive way has to be get the wife to do it...I mean sell it and buy a NAIT3R

Some time ago I achieved the same move by:

1. Selling the Nait 3
2. Buying a 92R
3. Adding a bare NAP 90pcb
... and a trafo

It would have been easier to get a 3R but the 92R was already well diy'd by the time a NAP90 board came across my desk.
