Selling my lovely condition, original Naim SBL mk2 speakers in cherry. Replacement grills, all working as they should. Gaskets were replaced by me with new ones 6 months ago.I also purchased a spare set of replacement tweeters 18 months ago before Falcon Acoustics ran out, to future proof the SBL. They are still in the box they were delivered in, new and unused. The original tweeters in the SBL are perfect and sound absolutely fine. I will sell the tweeters separately or to the buyer of the speakers, but only separately once speakers are sold. Collection only from Harlow, no boxes, Essex. £500 for the SBLs and £130 for the tweeters. Photos on request.

Speakers still available. I have a list of people wanting to buy the tweeters but will still offer them first to the buyer of the speakers.

Tremendous value for a great speaker I have two sets in a space of 3 years during lockdown! Bargain.
Recommend SBLs who has a Naim setup.

Definitely ! Should be more for a finish instead of normal dark ash.
I’ve got the walnut ones and paid a premium to get a good set with fellow PF.

You should sell easily unless the market is tight with cash.

Gary is a nice fella to deal with, and the SBLs are a fabulous speaker, £500 is a bargain!!! Someone please stop my wife divorcing me when I turn up with my 8th pair of speakers, I’m running out of places to hide them, as well as space for “I’m sorry darling” cats.

Ah Gary, if I was nearer to you and still into Naim.. I've had lots and lots of speakers but I swear the SBLs are the most ductile, responsive to electronics' upgrade I've had. Looking back I'd never sell mine and would save for 252/300 - best Naim amp I know of.
Best luck to you with the sale.

Cheers Max! I’m actually on the brink of re installing them, and forgetting about selling them altogether.

I’d also have both in a heartbeat if I was closer (middle of Scotland), probably my favourite speaker of all time. Wish I’d never sold mine. GLWTS

And BTW, what most people found annoying with them - the whole gasket-silicone-spikes-pads thing - I thought was one of the reasons of their charme: this quantum of owner's personal intervention in the process of optimizing their sound.
I mention something I once posted on the Naim forum; some moderator stressed on the importance of not having the lower unit's spikes piercing through the aluminium pads and reach the wood, not to compromise the decoupling. I observed that since the pads are stapled into the wood, the problem was not solved; and that I only glued my pads to the upper box - which is something they cautiously recommended afterward.

They certainly do have their own charm Max, and benefit from careful setup. I’ve always had great results from a lowly Nait integrated, to some of their top end pre/powers. They just seem to grow, as the amps do.

I was told never to sell mine from a dealer, so far I have stuck to those very words, however if a pair of SL2's came up for sale at a decent price or some other modern speaker at a sensible price (to me) I would. Finding something to match their quality or supersede it at a anything like the cost of these I would be amazed.

Naim SBL'S deserved the reputation they acquired.During the nineties I enjoyed a number of demos at Grahams and they were mainly for linn upgrades and amps.
The SBL'S were the speakers used and they were excellent in revealing the improvements. It's always difficult to part with a cherished item but as you have decided
to keep them enjoy them forever.
