Hello every body,
Anyone knows, if there are differences in sound, when a non naim phonostage is connected with rca to 5din cable, in another input that isn't the aux 2.?
I have bought for error the rca to 5 pin din
And not the rca to 5 pin din special, that
Connect on aux2
Thank you very much
Nacho

To my understanding, you cannot use a non-Naim phonostage connected to aux2.

To me you seem to have the right cable for a self-powered phonostage.

You might check the amps manual, available online.

There’s nothing very special about aux 2 except that it can supply power to a Naim phono stage. You could probably connect it to a non-Naim phono stage with the right cable, but a phono to 180 degree DIN cable is easier to come by and generally more useful. Alternatively, you could just use standard RCA cables instead.

As long as your cable has the correct pin connections, it will be fine, and as you won’t be taking power from the amp to the phono stage, there is no need to use Aux2. Just use one if the other DIN inputs, and you’ll be fine.
