Naim Nac 82 vs Nac 282

I would upgrade nac 82 to nac 282. How much better if you are better at all?

If your 82 is pots8 and serviced ....and you love it (and why not if you're considering a 282) stay with it

Spend the upgrade money on the 82 you already have, it's a great preamp. Consider a Supercap and the Superlink mod. That gets you near 52 territory.

Agree 100% with the last few posts as well and would recommend the same with the NAC 72 if anyone has it.

I had an 82 with a Witch Hat Superlink mod and used a Supercap with 2 135s. I auditioned a 282 and decided that was not even a sideways step. Sold the 82 and bought a 52 and am very satisfied.

The upgrade was night and day with my 82 so I don’t see why not.
