Naim Hi Cap Needs Two Capacitors

That's about £130, eeek

Keep the electrolytics, they're probably fine.....or sell them on ebay....

Does look like Charcroft have these: 167 in stock if I've got the part number correct:

A728405 SIC SAFCO ALUMINIUM ELECTROLYTIC CAP EXXELIA SAS 167

Eek is right. I bit the bullet and ordered them, paying a lot but hopefully getting exactly what I need.

I wasn't able to find anything on Charcroft, but thanks for looking for me.

Yeah, you have to know part number for Charcroft. The part number is on PFM if you look but I took it from the eBay item I linked to.

Hope it all goes together smoothly and if you're missing any tants let me know as I'm sure I can rustle some up.

You didn't mess with Tony, but I never saw him give the hair dryer treatment, I wonder of Sir Alex would have been different if he worked with his wife in the same room?

A friend and I installed the 4 tantalum caps today. Left the big smoothing caps alone for now. Thanks again for all the help.

The HiCap seems to be working fine. The connection to the non-Naim power amp is glitchy. I was using a low quality RCA cable with 1/4 inch plug adapters to test. Just ordered a quality RCA to 1/4 inch cable, which hopefully will work better.
