Naim CD player servicing

I'm pretty sure that I've posted this before, but when I bought my CDS/CDPS, it was already on its second mechanism and was showing signs of wear on the hub. It wouldn't skip tracks and on occasions would swing about wildly as the laser tried to lock on. I replaced the top hat puck and tried some modified ones, but ultimately, the clamp-5 was a complete cure, and like MJS, I would recommend its use on the older players.

CD3 is probably a CDM9 variant with swing arm - best find a working cdm9/44 machine (Kodak photo disc players anyone :)) and have someone transpose just the laser for you.
